Good morning, everyone!
Welcome back. Hope you had a safe and relaxing break.
Today we are going to practise casual conversations, but this time it is when we talk to someone you don't know: a stranger (remember the word?)
Please go to the link below and complete the tasks in order. I will ask you to try the listening without reading the transcript, at first. You may listen to the conversation many times before completing the other tasks. Click on the link below:

1. Do the preparation task! This will help you understand some of the words used in the conversation "Meeting other students". When you finish, click on "Finish" and it tells you if you were correct. You can click on "Try again" and try as many times as you wish until you answer them all correctly.
2. Listen to the recording as many times as you wish.
3. Listen to the recording again but this time read the transcript at the same time.
4. Listen to the recording again and do "Task 1". Put the sentences in the correct group. When you finish, click on "Finish" and it tells you if you were correct. You can click on "Try again" and try as many times as you wish until you answer them all correctly.
5. Listen to the recording again and do "Task 2". Put the sentences in the order you hear them. When you finish, click on "Finish" and it tells you if you were correct. You can click on "Try again" and try as many times as you wish until you answer them all correctly.
6. Answer the question: "How often do you meet/talk to new people?" Mention where you usually meet them, for example at TAFE, in family gatherings, at your children's school, etc. Try to write 3 to 5 sentences.
7. Email your work to me: svetlana.gebrian@tafensw.edu.au and I will give you feedback about your writing.
Have fun!
